Paul Bissonnette, a left winger for the Phoenix Coyotes, can add “Good Samaritan” to his resume after he used Twitter to return a man’s wallet. The wallet belonged to Ryan Bodnar, a Canadian who was in town visiting Scottsdale, where Bissonnette lives. Bodnar left the wallet, flush with cash, in the back of a local cab.
Bissonnette, who has far too many repeating consonants in his name, blasted out a photo of the ID in the wallet to his 428,000 followers and also gave out the cabbie’s information. Someone knew Bodnar, got in touch with him, and Bodnar connected with the cab driver. No cash was missing. Here’s a GIF of the handoff between Bodnar and the cab driver, by our own Michael Katz.

All in all, a delightful story to follow, and another example of why Bissonnette is probably the best NHL player to follow on Twitter. Come for the heartwarming stories of honesty and good citizenship, stay for pictures like these.
