Watch Rory McIlroy beat a golf ball-hitting robot in an accuracy competition

As a young boy, world No. 2 Rory McIlroy practiced his chips by hitting golf balls into a washing machine. To provide another reminder that machines will one day rule us all, Rory battled the “Golf Laboratory Computer Controlled Hitting Machine,” also known as Jeff, in an accuracy competition inspired by McIlroy’s former training methods. The pair took turns aiming at washing machines placed at different distances around a driving range. Rory could hold his own at shorter distances, but Jeff the Robot may just be the most skillful driver in the world. Robots: good at golf, also good at Tiger Woods-related humor.
