What a way to end it.
With a minute and 16 seconds remaining in the third period of tonight’s Game 6 between the Boston Bruins and the Chicago Blackhawks, the Blackhawks trailed 2-1 and it looked like the Bruins were going to force a Game 7.
Seventeen seconds later, the Blackhawks had rewritten the headlines.
The Blackhawks scored two goals–one by Brian Bickell, one by Dave Bolland–in rapid succession to regain the lead. They held on for the last 59 seconds and won the game 3-2, clinching the Stanley Cup with a 4-2 series win.
