Attention football recruits: Do you want to look like a rejected Marvel superhero while playing for the only Big Ten program Northwestern can legitimately mock? Then Indiana football has a football helmet for you!
The Hoosiers unveiled new uniforms on Monday and they’re nice and nondescript (translation: it ain’t Oregon) except for an alternate helmet that has chrome stripes and face mask. The cast ofFast & Furious 7 enthusiastically approves.
Indiana has six helmets this year in an apparent attempt to confuse Michigan and Ohio State into defeat. Two of the retro designs caught our eye. The red helmet features a torch design from the Indiana state flag and the other is a numerical metaphor for Indiana’s football luck. They are both awesome and not just in comparison to the chrome helmet that looks like it was designed by Xzibit.
