Pirates pitcher Francisco Liriano had one of the defensive plays of the season Friday night, when he snagged a grounder hit by the Cubs’ Dioner Navarro. Liriano did so by turning around, sticking his glove between his legs, and, well, to be honest he probably just hoped something good would happen.
Something good did happen, and he caught the ball and then got to look really cool tossing it to first for the out.
